Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary:

Duncan & Ross Management Consultancies is seeking a full-time Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Manama, Capital Governorate, Bahrain. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for estimating, preparing, and controlling the costs of construction projects from start to finish.

Job Description

 

• Preparation of bills of quantities for lump sum and design-build contracts by taking quantities from architectural and MEP drawings.
• Pricing BOQs by examining drawings and specifications and conducting competitive rate analysis.
• Preparation of tender documents, attendance at pre-bid meetings, and response to tender queries from contractors and consultants.
• In charge of evaluating and certifying interim valuation certificates and variations issued by contractors and consultants.
• Variation order preparation in accordance with contracts.
• Preparation of technical and commercial tender evaluation reports for contractors and suppliers.
• Taking part in tender negotiations and post-tender value engineering discussions.
• Collaboration with architects, engineers, and project managers.
• Excellent understanding of contract administration and contractual correspondence.

Work Experience

• 10 Years + working experience as a Quantity Surveyor (Preferable MEP discipline)

Qualifications

 

• A quantity surveying degree is preferred, but any civil/mechanical engineering degree can also be considered with quantity surveying background.
