Hygiene Officer
About the job
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintains all HACCP related duties, such as records, filing, relevant meetings, audits etc.
- Inspects regularly the premises and advises on short comings and potential Hazards and communicates them to the relevant parties
- Regularly looks for possible improvements related to Food Safety, Hygiene and Sanitation
- Assists the Executive Chef and Hygiene Manager in controlling food costs trough limitations of spoilage and extension of shelf life
- Coaches, trains and counsels Food Handlers on Sanitation, Hygiene and overall HACCP matters
- Assists the Chefs Office with various Administrative tasks as required
- Gives food standards and labeling advice and take appropriate action when necessary
- Responsible for internal auditing for leased and hotel operations as well as supplier audits
Customer Service:
- Demonstrate service attributes in accordance with industry expectations and company standards including:
- Being attentive to Guests
- Accurately and promptly fulfilling Guests requests
- Anticipate Guests needs
- Maintain a high level of knowledge which affects the Guest experience
- Demonstrating a ‘service’ attitude
- Taking appropriate action to resolve guest complaints
- Appreciate the dynamic nature of the Hotel industry and extend these service attributes to all internal customers
Health, Safety and Security:

- Demonstrate understanding and awareness of all company policies and procedures relating to Health, Hygiene and Fire Life Safety and ensure your direct reports do the same.
- Familiarize yourself with emergency and evacuation procedures.
- Ensure all security incidents, accidents and near misses are logged investigated and rectified to prevent future catastrophes
