Job Purpose:

Subject matter expert and technical lead to take forward the MDG roadmap and to provide production support for the current implementation, working with business, data and IT teams across the company.

Candidates should have experience developing and maintaining code and configurations across Materials and Business Partner (Customer and Vendor) data domains, as well as defining SAP S4/Hana MDG architecture.

The role includes guiding the business and data teams to maximize the use of the SAP MDG platform, maintain the MDG technical roadmap and support new projects that will require master data from the MDG platform.

Key Accountabilities:

The leader for SAP MDG across the company – focal point for the platform functional and technical processes and knowledge
Production support for the current MDG implementation – Customer, Vendor, Serialized Materials
Maintain integration architecture for master data (SAP MDG & PI)
Plan, design and lead MDG components of business initiatives
Provide advice and support for the definition of data standards across master data domains
Collate, evaluate and prioritise new MDG requirements / enhancements
Prepare functional specifications, configuration and training documentation
Provide input and support for the development of Testing/Training materials
Problem solving – issue analysis and resolution
Drive continuous improvement of master data management processes utilizing the latest capabilities of the MDG platform

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

Qualifications:

Minimum:

Bachelor’s degree preferably in information technology/services or another technical field. Any combination of experience in solution architecture, IT project management, vendor management, SAP and/or other IT-related work will be considered In lieu of degree.
5+ Years of SAP MDG experience required.
Understanding of SAP ECC and/or S4/Hana
Experience in Life Sciences or similar regulated industry
Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to effectively communicate, analyze, and problem solve

Skills:

Minimum:

Detailed functional and technical knowledge of SAP MDG (version 9.2) on S4/Hana with at least 5 years’ experience developing and supporting solutions on SAP MDG platform
Knowledge of master data management, data quality principles and design patterns (especially: Customer, Vendor and Material master data)
SAP ECC configuration experience
Data analysis and modelling
MDG process modelling, MDG request and workflow monitoring, analysis and issue resolution
Excellent communication skills and documentation skills
Experience of at least two large information transformation engagements
Ability to present technical or new concepts across multiple levels of a global organization
Experience managing or executing data cleansing, data mapping, and data governance areas, preferably in an SAP environment as well as integration across complex ERP landscapes
Knowledge/experience of using SAP PI/PO to interface MDG with SAP and non-SAP systems
Ability to work with and collaborate with all Teams and Individuals in the Business Teams and the SAP Teams toward developing a best practice data creation, maintenance, governance, quality and efficiencies
Ability to work independently in a matrix structure, effectively managing multiple priorities
