Planning & Procurement Specialist

What This Position Is About – Purpose

The main objective of the candidate is is to efficiently coordinate production activities and material resources, ensuring the cost-effective and high-quality production of products while adhering to industry regulations and standards. They will also support the procurement of raw materials and supplies for production, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery while meeting quality and ethical standards.

What Will You Do – Responsibilities

Contribution to KPIs

 

• Contribution to NTM Yield, Leaf/NTM/FG, load Factor and Inventory KPIs and agreed lot sizes for the materials and other JTI Factories
• Execute action plans relating to department KPIs assigned by superior
• Provide feedbacks and suggestions for superior any improvements
• Report timely to superior for department KPIs and activities
• Proactively support and contribute to Factory KPIs achievement & Projects execution

Lists of Standard Tasks (Not Limited to)

 

• Develop and maintain monthly and daily production plans to meet demand while optimizing resource utilization
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure the timely execution of production orders and be prepared to adjust production plans as needed to accommodate changes in demand or resource availability
• Efficiently manage MRP for all materials, aligning with production plans and considering shelf life to prevent material write-offs
• Create Purchase Requisitions based on MRP calculations, accounting for container size and inventory levels, with weekly MRP reviews
• Collaborate closely with suppliers, QC, and Warehouse for seamless transitions during product changes, providing input for incentive management and Capacity reports
• Collaborate closly with markets for new product launches and ensuring on-time delivery while maintaining a healthy finished goods inventory
• Work with finance to track inventories, material variances, GR/IR, and PPV
• Ensure optimal raw material orders and delivery dates, implementing the Sourcing Plan across all transactions
• Support Planning and Procurement Lead during ASP/LE studies

Compliance to Policies & Procedures and Regulations

• Comply global/regional/local Safety policies & procedures, regulatory requirements
• Openly initiate dialogues with person not comply with JTI policies & procedures
• Comply department/team processes, policies and procedures
• Adhere SAP and PLM processes, JTI’s business systems

Continuous Improvement

 

• Actively participate continuous improvement activities in the factory
• Openly communicate to superiors for any improvement opportunities
• Submit improvement suggestions according to local/global procedures

Support and Collaborations

 

• Support JT Group factories as needed/requested
• Provide necessary information to related functions (globally, locally) in timely manner
• Attend and actively contribute to factory meeting

Team Work

 

• Support other team members voluntary
• Self-assess skills and knowledge and develop self study plan
• Share your knowledge to other employees after training
• Coach team member and tiers for their competency improvement

Who Are We Looking For – Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field
• A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar production and materials planninng role is recommended
• Excellent Arabic, Excellent English written and spoken
• PC (MS Office programs). At least intermediate level of Excel
• Project Management
• Excellent communication skills
• Servant Leadership
