Job Description:
As a Senior Test Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining automated testing solutions to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in test automation frameworks, tools, and methodologies, as well as a deep understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
Position: Senior Test Automation Engineer
Location: Amman, Jordan (in collaboration with a UK-based Client)
What You’ll Do:
- Define automation testing standards for the team to follow.
- Gather, define and document project requirements to shape test automation solutions.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure testability and maintainability of code.
- Ensure automated tests are delivered in a timely manner and test results are accurately documented.
- Mentor Junior Automation Testers.
- Establish good relationships with our clients.
- Development, review & maintenance of automation test scripts, libraries & reusable components.
- Providing automation solutions to complex testing, specifically to support the new releases across different systems as an ongoing process.
- Reviewing and automating the Regression test packs across all systems wherever possible and scheduling regular periodic batch runs of the Regression suite.
- Creating supporting documentation and providing knowledge transfers to members of the test team, including upskilling, query resolution & and technical solutions.
- Collaborating with QA Analysts and Software developers to develop solutions.

Essential Skills:
- Creating and using test frameworks.
- Demonstrable experience in creating test frameworks from scratch and understanding of design principles. Including the ability to analyze and select test tools.
- A solid understanding of coding languages, Java, JavaScript, and C#.
- Strong knowledge of Appium and mobile automation.
- Creating and maintaining automated test suites using Selenium.
- Experienced in using Cucumber / Gherkin.
- Developing test scripts for testing web-based applications from the front-end user interface through to the backend and databases.
- Writing SQL queries to obtain test data.
- Ability to refactor code to reduce complexity.
- Experience in automated testing of web services, APIs, mobile and web applications is required.
- Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
- Experience of working in an Agile software development environment.
- Ability to engage with stakeholders to understand requirements and communicate details of the test automation framework.
What You’ll Need:
- 3 – 4 Years of proven test automation experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (master’s preferred).
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Excellent English communication skills language in reading, writing, listening and speaking.
