Accountant
Hello World Kids is an education technology company based in Amman, Jordan. Our mission is to make coding education accessible and easy for kids. We developed HelloCode.me, a full-featured, interactive, multilingual smart online platform for kids to learn and practice coding.
Role Description
As a Mid-Level Accountant at Hello World Kids, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of financial records, supporting financial reporting, and contributing to the overall success of the finance department. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, be able to work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, general ledger, and trial balance.
- Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable on a regular basis.
- Month-End Close
- Budgeting and Forecasting
- Audit Support
- Compliance
- Financial Analysis
Required skills and qualifications

- 3 – 5 years of experience in accounting roles.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- English and Arabic professional working proficiency.
- Excellent Communication skills.
- Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Desire to continue building skill set with education and training.
- CPA or relevant certification is a plus.
