About The Team

Platform Engineer team at Lowes works to provide a high available, scalable and fault tolerant hybrid platform where domain teams can seamlessly deploy their application in full autonomous mode. The Platform Engineering team built and maintain all necessary tools and continuously improve on the engineering platform.

Job Summary

The primary purpose of this role is to build and support Lowe’s Engineering Platform. This includes developing software and building infrastructure, Dev Ops Tools and support continuous Integration and Delivery for wide range of technologies. The role would need to understand complex infrastructure need, and translate into workable software and also triage as and when needed. The role needs active problem solving.

Roles & Responsibilities

 

• The role involves building, supporting engineering platform based on Kubernetes on a hybrid system ( Cloud and onPremise)
• and CI/CD tools and enable DevOps across engineering teams throughout Lowes.
• Support tools like Jenkins, ArgoCD, Argo Workflow, Terraform,
• The role needs to have active knowledge of bitbucket and terraform. Understanding infrastructure as code using terraform is key criteria for this role.
• The role also needs active collaboration across geographies, understand business priority and should be able to collaborate across functional teams.

Years Of Experience

• 2 years of experience in software development or a related field
• 2 years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Kubernetes, CI/CD Tools
• 1 years of experience in Cloud

Education Qualification

 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, CIS, or related field (or equivalent work experience in a related field)

Primary Skills

 

• Worked on Unix, Kubernetes Expertise, Dev Ops and CI/CD Tools, Cloud
• Technical Troubleshooting
• Communicate Effectively
