Events Assistant
About the job
I. Basic Functions:
Within the overall program of the events unit, the Events Assistant offers support to the events team by handling office related work as well as helping in planning, organizing, coordinating, and executing a wide variety of university events for a variety of internal departments, including the Office of the President, Office of the Provost, and Office of Advancement and other University departments.
II. Minimum Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in business, public relations, hospitality management or a related field.
· 3 years of relevant experience.
· Project management skills.
· Planning and organizational skills.
· Ability to anticipate needs in advance and pace the work well in advance and under tight deadlines.
· Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer relations skills.
· Ability to work well with others, and in a team environment.
· Ability to work on weekends and evenings.
