Job Purpose:

Manage a client portfolio and develop business with new clients through marketing products & services

Key Accountabilities:

• Corporate governance Ensure all divisional activities comply with corporate governance & regulatory/legal frameworks.
• People management Develop, motivate and coach people in line with succession & career planning requirements.
• Credit applicationsManage the preparation of credit applications, manage the credit application process, advise clients of progress of applications, communicate outcomes and negotiate variations
• Portfolio monitoringMonitor compliance with limits, take corrective action and initiate corrective plans
• Client managementManage a portfolio ensuring client needs are delivered and a high quality service is provided to clients,
• SalesIdentify sales opportunities, market and cross sell products, services and solutions and close sales/delivery
• Business developmentIdentify and develop business with potential clients and raise ABK’s profile in the sector
• MISEnsure MIS is fit for purpose and guide team members in collating & using data
• Remedial accounts Handle the transition of remedial accounts and documentation etc

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline (or equivalent experience)
• Professional banking qualifications

Experience:

• Minimum 9 years banking sector experience
• Experience of corporate banking activities and processes
• Successful record of managing corporate clients
• Experience in credit analysis, credit process and portfolio management

Knowledge:

• In-depth understanding of corporate banking products and services
• Knowledge of corporate banking
• Knowledge of corporate lending theory and practice
