IIQAF is recruiting for an experienced and passionate Gardener to join our team. In this role, you’ll be asked to utilize your knowledge of plants and landscaping to maintain our beautiful outdoor spaces in an ecologically sound, cost-effective, and aesthetically pleasing manner.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of the grounds, including mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, watering, and other duties as needed.
- Conduct regular watering and fertilizing of plants and trees as required.
- maintaining lawns, trees, and shrubs by trimming, pruning, and fertilizing.
- Gardening tasks such as weeding, planting, and fertilizing.
- Prepare soil by tilling and amending as needed.
- Monitor systems such as irrigation to ensure operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Install hardscape features such as retaining walls, steps, and pavers.
- Assist with special projects such as flower beds and mulching.
- Maintain tools and equipment in clean and operative condition.
- Record maintenance activities in logbooks and submit reports as necessary.
Qualifications

- Knowledge of various plant and tree species, growth requirements, and maintenance techniques
- Experience operating hand and power tools such as lawn mowers, edgers, and tillers
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects such as bags of soil and fertilizer
- Attention to detail when performing landscape maintenance duties
- Valid driver’s license
- Comply with safety regulations, policies, and procedures
- Excellent communication skills
