SMX is seeking a Senior Site Lead with expert knowledge of intelligence, communications and technical requirements associated with the USCENTCOM mission. The ideal candidate will act as an expert in mission Detection and Monitoring operations, including Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (PED) processes and architectures while managing/leading complex technical projects concerning manned aerial capabilities. This includes documenting and acting as technical SME for existing sensor architectures, communication, and network architectures of associated sensor systems to include the introduction of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning capabilities in automating data analysis and assessment within the Command.
This is a 90/90 day rotational position in Bahrain.
This position requires a DoD Secret security clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI which requires US citizenship for work on a DoD contract.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Develops and maintains subcontractor and vendor relationships with the Fixed Base Operators (FBO), labor services providers, fuel providers, facility providers, and other providers that support onsite program
Directly enforces the Safety Program and supports the Program Manager to ensure the program meets all safety standards and directives
Supervises the day-to-day operations of client interactions and operations liaison personnel within the area of responsibility (AOR)
Coordinates logistics operations, including warehousing, facilities, local personnel services, fuel support, facilities, and vendor relationships
Represents the company externally with Host Nation, US Government, statutory/regulatory bodies, legal entities, and business partners/allies
Responsible for providing necessary service and support to new and existing partners and customers
Responsible for coordinating and leading operations and oversight of requirements for emergent projects from initiation to closeout to include management of site establishment during operational relocation on the continent using industry best practices to assist with introduction of cutting-edge technologies and digital transformation within the Command to improve operational output
Assists customer with development, integration, testing and deployment of new sensors
Provides guidance and recommendations to the Program Manager with regards to host nation procedures, logistics, policy questions, and any other issues as they arise
Initiates, develops, and manages requirements from project inception to conclusion for complex projects
Provides strategic advice, technical guidance, and expertise to Military Headquarters staff
Provides detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization, development, and maintenance efforts for mission critical operational challenges
Advises senior leaders while creating and staffing detailed operational concepts and detailing complex course of action considerations to resolve intelligence challenges and optimally create/position capabilities as approved by the combatant command
Interfaces with military staff, technical vendors, other agencies, and other Military Headquarters as necessary to assist with Command priorities and Commander’s vision and intent

Required Skills & Experience
Required clearance: Secret clearance
Ability to obtain TS/SCI if required
A minimum of five to ten years of aviation management experience as an Operations Manager, Site Lead, or Program Manager
A minimum of five years’ experience working with sensor technologies, military operations, and the intelligence life cycle
A minimum of five years’ experience managing operations, directing personnel, ensuring compliance with regulations within DoD agencies under a TO that is similar in scope and complexity to the C3PO TO
Experience building coalitions internally and with other Federal agencies or organizations within the intelligence community to achieve common goals
Bachelor’s degree in aviation or other technical discipline
Ten years of relevant experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree
