Key Account Manager (HVAC)
About the job
Our client in the HVAC sector requires a Key Account Manager, Randburg Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain trust relationships with major clients to prevent them from turning to competitors.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of customers’ needs and requirements.
- Continuously propose solutions that meet existing customers’ objectives to strengthen relationships.
- Ensure on-time delivery of correct products and services to customers.
- Possess in-depth technical knowledge of all products.
- Act as the liaison between key customers and internal teams.
- Resolve customer issues and complaints to maintain trust.
- Contribute to generating new sales opportunities that lead to long-term relationships.
- Assist all teams in achieving financial targets and growth objectives in South Africa.
- Prepare regular progress reports and forecasts using key account metrics for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with advertising, design, marketing, sales, and logistics departments to meet the needs of key clients.
- Focus on becoming the preferred partner for the employer.
- Serve as a contact between companies.
- Actively participate in events and fairs.
- Create a target customer strategy.
- Identify market potentials and analyze the market and competition.
- Stay updated with industry and market trends and best practices.
- Take responsibility for key account-related turnover.
- Build trust with major clients by understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions.
Requirements And Skills
- Proven experience as a Key Account Manager.
- Sales experience and ability to provide solutions based on customer needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships at all organizational levels.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including normal and outside working hours.
- Cooperation with product development teams.
- Presentation skills for showcasing new products and services.
- Ability to analyze threats and opportunities in the HVAC industry and key accounts’ industries.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM software.
- Strong negotiation and leadership skills.
- Excellent time and project management skills.
- Experience in sales for an HVAC manufacturer.
- Ability to handle multiple client accounts.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Professional B2B sales experience in the HVAC industry.
- Proficiency in English and Afrikaans, with additional languages as an advantage.
- Ability to work well in a team and make independent decisions.
- Ability to handle the complete sales life cycle and customer complaints.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel.
- Willingness to relocate.
Salary: Basic salary, medical aid, provident fund, car allowance, and commission [Total: R78 000 p/m]
