Overview
The EEMEA Director, External Communications, Segments & Product will join an expanding Dubai-based communications team. We are seeking a passionate, strategic and high impact communicator and oversees all aspects of segments and product communications across Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa. The position is a key role the region’s Integrated Marketing and Communication (IMC) team and the successful candidate will work in close partnership with the Market Development and Product & Engineering functions to:
Position Mastercard as the technology partner of choice across financial institutions and non-financial institutions that span a breadth of highly focused segments including Telcos, Fintech, Ecommerce, Retail, Hotels, Airlines, Mobility among others.
Tailor propositions to our customers and consumers and put them at the core of everything we do.
Support our growth and leadership across key business priorities and segments across the EEMEA region
Role
Strategy & Planning:
Works in close partnership functions including Market Development and Product & Engineering, Mastercard teams regionally and globally, and agency partners to develop and drive integrated communications strategies in alignment with business objectives and priorities.
Develop and execute EEMEA Market Development communications plans spanning PR/media relations, social media and events.
Media Relations
Oversee PR and media relations engagement and activity across EEMEA. Responsibility for media monitoring, reporting and managing local and global approval processes.
Content Creation
Develop and maintain EEMEA narratives, hot topics, and executive messaging.
Lead the creation of communication materials for internal and external audiences including, press releases, internal and external briefing documents, speeches, video scripts and content for use on social media channels.
Event Management
Manage external events across EEMEA and holds responsibility for overseeing execution/delivery of related events.
Manage event budgets and budget forecasting for key activities that support business objectives
Agency And Supplier Management
Support in managing EEMEA PR agency relationships, in addition to other suppliers as required.

Digital first mindset from a PR/online/social perspective, with experience of working on influencer campaigns.
Ability to focus and prioritize on a variety of activities and announcements in a dynamic, creative, fast paced environment.
Exceptional media relations skills in order to help shape a story.
Experience managing and engaging with senior leaders in an organization and supporting them at speaking events and conferences.
Extensive knowledge and network with media/journalists in Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Ability to navigate a matrixed organization with multiple internal stakeholder groups.
