JOB TITLE

Category Manager -Heavy Household | Retail | Jordan Head Office

ROLE SUMMARY

Category Manager is responsible for coordinating with buyers as well as supporting purchases for MAF Retail. The role holder is also responsible for assisting with selection and examining products that get to store shelves, in catalogues and online.

ROLE PROFILE

• Implement methods to reduce shortages and overstocking through analysing the data and prepare control strategies.
• Utilize the network to expand the supplier base and attend trade shows to identify new product trends.
• Oversee communication with suppliers on quality-related issues and propose areas of improvement to ensure the best quality products.
• Develop reports on the key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
• Implement negotiation strategies to secure profitable deals.
• Research and review new products to meet the company’s goals.
• Research and suggest new suppliers with long-term cost savings and quality improvement.
• Engage in sourcing the best quality products for competitive prices aligned with the organization’s objectives.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain Management, Logistics or Business Administration.
• IT background is a plus.
• 3-5 years of experience in the same field.
• Good Level of English.
• Strong business communication and presentation skills.
• Financial and analytical skills is plus.
