Mission: Open Startup is a non-profit organization that fosters Innovation, entrepreneurship and supports startups across the MEA region through a variety of programs. We are seeking a Communication Officer to join our team and assist our Communication Manager in ensuring that all organizational projects are delivered with high quality. The communication officer will manage OST’s communication channels, design content, coordinate programs communication, and ensure consistent branding across all platforms.
Main Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Support the organization and all programs in aligning with the organizational communication branding and goals:
- Collaborate with the Communication Manager to develop and execute communication strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Work with communications team members to conceptualize and implement communications strategies and campaigns while ensuring consistent branding and messaging across all platforms.
- Supporting the organization in creating content through different channels of communication
- Assist in the creation and design of visually appealing content for all communication channels, including social media graphics, newsletters, brochures, and presentations.
- Assist in creating and editing press releases, media kits, social media posts and other materials for external communications.
- Ensure that all communications and marketing material aligns with brand standards
- Assist in managing Open Startup’s website and social media channels, ensuring the creation of consistent and engaging content.
- Monitor and analyze communication metrics, tracking campaign analytics, identify areas for improvement, and propose solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in communication and design.
- Supporting the programs of OST transversally:
- Coordinate communication for OST’s programs and events, with the different program managers.
- Maintain and update OST’s communication calendar and other related communication documents.
Background and Skills:

- Minimum of one year of work experience in a communication or marketing role, organization, agency, or through voluntary work in associations and clubs.
- Knowledge of social media platforms and experience in managing social media accounts.
- Familiarity with website management, content creation, and analytics tools.
- Basic design skills and a good sense of aesthetics.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Passionate about innovation and the startup ecosystem.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
➡️ Period and contract:
- CDD / CSC contract- 1 renewable year with a 3-month trial period.
- Start date: June 1st
