Field Service Mechanical Engineer

About the job

Responsabilities:

• Performs the onsite mechanical scope activities for Siemens Gas Turbines and compressors as part of planned and unplanned maintenance program including solutions.
• Advise and coordinate with Operation manager and with Customer onsite to execute OEM’s recommendations for planned and unplanned maintenance activities of the plant mechanical topics as well as to implement efficient maintenance philosophy.
• Execute and advise the customer for trouble shooting of faults and problems on mechnicals.
• Ensure timely completion of site root cause analysis for technical issues at site.
• Assess plant needs for spare parts, tools & supplies and ensure follow-up with project’s team.
• Prepare and submit updates and comprehensive reports as per requirements of the contract.
• Provide a service report after the mission, including summary of the mission, test certificates, issues encountered and resolution of customer’s punch list as required
• If required, perform training of operators locally
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction continuously and maintain excellent relations with peers, management and overseas offices
• Ensure conformity with quality procedures and enrich experience feedback
• Ensure conformity with legal rules, ethics and EHS
• Ensure own safety and co-worker’s safety following Siemens Energy EHS and Zero Harm guidelines.
• Occasionally, attend technical conferences, training seminars, etc
• Provide leadership & guidance as technical advisor to customer’s site staff during maintenance outages.
• Generate and present installation and commissioning list of activities during customer kick-off meetings
• Support EHS Teams and assist site assessments, walk-downs to understand customer requirements and to help propose solutions.
• Promote Siemens products in front of customers during site assignments, presentations and other events, as needed
• The Field Services Engineer also supports upgrades/retrofit projects and is responsible for leading demolition, installation, and commissioning of Siemens products.

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Good Communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Good knowledge of rotating machines (Gas Turbines and compressors) mechanical works.
• Good leadership skills with experience in leading site activities and problem solving.
• Good Spoken & Written English.
• Good IT Skills (Windows, Office, Linux, Network …)
• Ability to travel all around the country.
• Valid Driving License with driving experience.
