We are an ambitious and initiative Padel club operator who is looking to build 10+ clubs in the next 5 years, and become the leading player in the Padel market!

I am seeking a dynamic and experienced Club Manager / Operations Manager / Deputy General Manager to lead the team at an existing club in Sousse.

Padel, being a brand new and highly sought-after sport, presents an exciting opportunity for someone who is already operating in a sports or racquet environment and is now ready to join a growth business and contribute to the success of Padel. The opportunity for career development is huge as you will be reporting to the Owner and supporting the business growth through new openings.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Sousse, Tunisia for a Padel Club Manager / Operation Manager at Smash Padel Tunisia. The Padel Club Manager / Operation Manager will be responsible for managing the overall operations of the Padel Club and ensuring that it runs efficiently and effectively. The Padel Club Manager / Operation Manager will also be responsible for developing and implementing operational policies and procedures, managing financial budgets, overseeing club events, and ensuring that a high level of customer service is maintained.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or Business Administration, Sports Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role in the sports or hospitality industry
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with employees, clients, and vendors at all levels
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with a proven track record of leading teams to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, financial software, and database systems
  • Fluent in French and English
  • Excellent understanding of finance, accounting, and budgeting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if needed
  • Knowledge of padel or tennis is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimize the occupancy of the club, ensuring to maintain a vibrant and thriving padel community.
  • Proactively drive sales and court occupancy
  • Create and manage the weekly staff rota, ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer service.
  • Oversee and manage inventory for balls and racquets, ensuring a well-stocked and organized facility.
  • Organise and sell corporate events, private events, and build relationships with local schools. Plan and execute school clubs in advance.
  • Oversee and manage social media platforms, collaborating with the marketing team to enhance engagement and visibility.
  • Develop and maintain an operations manual for the efficient functioning of the club.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, implementing and monitoring safety protocols.
  • Plan and delegate tasks related to site maintenance, ensuring a clean and safe environment for players.
  • Handle customer relations, addressing grievances and ensuring a positive experience for all club members.
  • Control and monitor operating costs across the business keeping within the agreed budget.

I am searching for a proven club manager or operations manager with well-developed leadership and communication skills. You should be highly organized and have an excellent customer focus and attention to detail. A strong understanding of health and safety is required along with the flexibility to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends. The club manager will be expected to host member events and sell private functions to help create a hub within the local area.
