AlMamlaka TV is seeking a dedicated Senior Digital journalist with 4 to 6 years of experience to be a part of our digital news team. Reporting to the Digital Lead, the successful candidate will be responsible for producing, managing, and publishing high-quality digital content. This role is ideal for a digital media professional who excels in a collaborative environment and is adept at multitasking and managing their content responsibilities efficiently.

Brief about the Job:

Self-starter with a passion for digital storytelling with a keen eye for detail. The main responsibilities will be Managing, publishing, writing, and editing different content and stories formats/ types for AlMamlaka’s digital platforms, complying with the editorial and technical guidelines and creating compelling digital stories.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

·       Produce and manage a consistent stream of engaging news and feature stories for digital platforms while maintaining editorial and technical guidelines.

·       Publish content on various digital channels, including our website, social media channels, and mobile applications, ensuring that all material is compelling, accurate, and timely.

·       Repurpose and repackage broadcast content for digital consumption, ensuring it is optimized for each platform.

·       Provide support for any digital coverage when required.

·       Supervise the adaptation of broadcast content for digital consumption, enhancing it for a diverse online audience.

·       Write compelling digital stories that engage our audience and reflect the tone and standards of our news channel.

·       Coordinate with multimedia producers to ensure stories are presented in a visually appealing manner.

·       Assist the Digital Content Team Leader in overseeing the content produced by digital journalists, providing guidance and feedback as needed.

·       Work in tandem with the Arabic news department to ensure a cohesive approach to storytelling and content accuracy.

·       Independently manage projects and story assignments, while also contributing to team objectives under the direction of the Digital lead.

·       Monitor and evaluate content performance through analytics, providing reports and insights to the Digital lead to inform content strategy.

·       Supervise and maintain AlMamlaka’s digital layout and presence across platforms.

·       Ensure all digital content complies with SEO/SMO best practices and aligns with our brand’s voice and editorial policy.

·       Manage and publish any related content that promotes special coverage/guest while complying with digital guidelines.

·       Monitoring comments and community across social media Platforms.

·       Collaborate with the Arabic journalist team to develop innovative story angles and digital-exclusive content.

·       Actively participate in editorial meetings and manage story assignments under the direction of the Digital lead.

·       Perform any task related to the job assigned by the team lead & section head.

Practical Experience and qualifications:

·       Bachelor’s degree.

·       3 to 6 years of relevant experience in digital journalism or digital media, with a strong background in news and feature writing.

·       Excellent communication skills with proficiency in English and Arabic.

·       Strong writing and editing skills, with an ability to produce well-edited and engaging content under tight deadlines.

·       Proficiency with social media management systems and an understanding of the digital media landscape.

·       Skilled in content management systems, SEO/SMO, social media engagement and advanced analytics tools.

·       Skilled in video editing, photo editing programs and the ability to produce high-quality content.

·       Strong organizational skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

·       Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively in a fast-paced news environment.

·       Flexibility to work overtime shifts, in addition to accommodate a flexible work schedule to support a 24/7 news environment.
