مطلوب اطباء عيون للعمل لدى مؤسسة – معهد الملك الحسين لصحة الأسرة في الزرقاء والكرك واربد
The King Hussein Foundation/ Institute For Family Health is looking to recruit an Ophthalmologist (Fixed Term Project).
Job Locations:
In IFH clinics (Zarqa, Karak, Irbid,)
Job Purpose:
Maintain detailed medical Services for patients and advise them on proper eye care and conduct a comprehensive eye test of patients (mainly children below 14 years) and assess their vision.
Major Responsibilities:
– Conduct comprehensive history and physical examination.
– Check the response of pupils to light and the alignment of the eyes.
– Examine the condition of the retina, eye muscles and optic nerve (in the needed cases)
– Look for signs of myopia, hypermetropia, astigmatism and other refractive errors.
– Prescribe eyeglasses and contact lenses to correct vision.
– Diagnose and manage eye diseases most encountered in primary health care.
– Provide oral and topical medication to treat eye diseases.
– Maintain detailed medical histories for patients and advise them on proper eye care.
– Advise on referral for some cases in need for secondary level intervention
– Carry out any other tasks and responsibilities assigned to by direct manager that fall within your area of expertise.
Requirements:
– Medical Degree (MD)
– Board certified in ophthalmology.
Skills & Abilities:
– Good awareness of the law and regulations of humanitarian and international institutions.
– Good awareness of preparation reports either in English or Arabic.
– Good Knowledge of the use and operation of medical equipment in one’s field of specialization- Good computer skills ( Ms Office) specially Excel.
– Ability of working and understanding multicultural environments in which development and community engagement projects operate.
Language Requirements:
– Excellent English & Arabic communication skills (both oral and written).
