The King Hussein Foundation/ Institute For Family Health is looking to recruit an Occupational Therapist (Fixed Term Project):
Location : Zaatari Camp
Job Purpose:
Preparing integrated treatment and functioning plans, as well as implementing occupational therapy sessions and providing mandatory reports, for examined cases.
Major Responsibilities:
– Receiving cases from the case manager, either internally or outside, and completing an initial evaluation to identify the beneficiary’s employment status.
– Evaluate the transferred case after diagnosis, develop an occupational therapy plan and follow-up, determine the time required to achieve the occupational therapy plan’s objectives, and implement treatment sessions in accordance with the treatment protocols in effect at the Institute’s rehabilitation department.
– Guidance, awareness, and direction of the patient and his family in the use of the occupational therapy plan.
– Conduct a specialized case conference for a multidisciplinary team working with the case and document its contents within the file.
– Communicate with the rehabilitation supervisor about updating and implementing occupational therapy procedures.
– Using and developing occupational safety and health tools and methods.
– Implementation of special quality processes in the institute’s rehabilitation component.
– Submit periodic reports to the direct manager and discuss them in meetings on a regular basis.
– Participation in administrative meetings, courses, and continuing education.
– Carry out any other tasks and responsibilities assigned to by direct manager that fall within your area of expertise.
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy.
– (2-3) years minimum experience.
– Having the license to practice the profession of occupational therapy from Jordanian Ministry of Health.
Skills & Abilities:
– Good awareness of the law and regulations of humanitarian and international institutions.
– Good Knowledge of Occupational Therapy techniques and assessment tools.
– Good Knowledge of the developmental stages of children.
– Good awareness of preparation reports either in English or Arabic.
– Good Knowledge of the use and operation of medical equipment in one’s field of specialization
– CPR course (knowledge of first aid procedures)
– Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS word, Excel, etc.).
– Good communication skills.
Language Requirements:
– Excellent English & Arabic communication skills (both oral and written).
