Description:
Duties and responsibilities
– Developing the annual work plan and budget for the warehouse department and monitoring its implementation.
– Creating an emergency plan (within the context of preparing the company’s emergency plan), training employees on it, and providing the necessary guidance and measures in emergencies.
– Distributing work tasks among the department’s employees and monitoring performance.
– Approving requests for leave and departures.
– Developing the capabilities of the department’s employees and providing them with the necessary training opportunities to enhance their skills.
– Evaluating the performance of the department’s employees according to the human resources department policy.
– Participating in the selection and appointment of department staff, determining training needs, and making recommendations accordingly.
– Planning and organizing storage spaces for easy access to the materials needed.
– Monitoring inventory on the automated system and coordinating with the purchasing department for restocking.
– Supervising the receipt of materials from suppliers, verifying their compliance with required standards and specifications, and ensuring their suitability.
– Supervising the safe and organized storage of materials in designated areas.
– Managing the issuance of materials and ensuring inventory is updated on the automated system.
– Coordinating with the financial department regarding invoices received from suppliers.
– Coordinating with the financial department regarding financial entries related to damaged goods and materials unfit for use.
– Periodically verifying the validity of stored materials and preparing reports on outdated materials, spare parts (scrap), and submitting them to management.
– Providing data and information related to warehouse inventory for specialized committees.
– Directing employees to follow approved policies, procedures, and instructions.
– Ensuring employees comply with safety and security rules to prevent accidents and damage within the warehouse.
