Network Operations Engineer
We are hiring a “Network_Operations_Engineer” to join our team.
the Network Engineer will participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of our growing network infrastructure. He will be part of a Network Operations team that is responsible for designing and developing scalable, maintainable, highly available network architectures that meet business objectives and SLAs.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in network engineering or related field.
Certifications:
– CCNP or similar level certification.
– Security courses is a plus.
Responsibilities:
– Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, MPLS)
– Troubleshooting multi-vendor routers and switches.
– Ensure continued smooth operation of the global network infrastructure, working to minimize network downtime and the effects of downtime by scheduling needed maintenance or upgrades to provide minimal disruption of services.
– Participate in the rotating “on-call” schedule with team members.
– Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
– Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
– Develop peering, IP transit, and other interconnection requirements.
– Escalate cases to the appropriate skill level in line with defined procedures in order to ensure timely resolution of service level agreements and maintain customer satisfaction.
Requirements and Skills:
– Self-motivated with a strong willingness to learn on the job and through self-study.
– Good understanding of network administration, network installation, configurations, migrations, and problem resolution.
– Strong understanding of OSI or (TCP/IP) models.
– Familiar with network troubleshooting & networking services, protocols & technologies (BGP/ISIS, NAT, DNS, MPLS, IPSEC, switching, SDWAN, etc.).
– Familiar with CISCO/Juniper devices.
– Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
– Presentation & communication skills.
– Project management skills.
