Job Description:
– Organize transportation activities, including storage of goods, managing information accrued from point of origin to delivery, orchestrating transportation movements, and arranging for services as necessary.
– Coordinate and track movement of goods through logistic pathways.
– Execute logistics plan to move products and packages to reach destinations on schedule.
– Review freight rates and other transportation costs to keep working costs low.
– Maintain quality throughout the logistic processes.
– Oversee the activities of shipping, developing and maintaining schedules, onboard new hires, and set department goals based on company expectations.
– Continually reviews freight costs and transportation rates, to keep costs down where possible.
– Create bookings, Plan and track the shipment according to customer requirements from the port of loading to the port of discharge.
– Facilitate the shipping of products from one destination to another.
– Arrange transportation, schedule staff, and orchestrate deliveries to meet customer demand with little to no delay.
