The King Hussein Foundation/ Institute For Family Health is looking to recruit Youth Officer (Fixed Term Project):
Job Purpose:
Work directly with youth intellectuals, providing them with the technical support they require, and supervising their technical performance to determine the extent to which doner criteria are applied to the youth component in project work locations, as well as ensuring the application of all standards for working with young men and women, as well as equal access to services and information.
Major Responsibilities:
– Collaborating with youth intellectuals and supervising psychological and creative activities carried out within the youth component program activities, as well as supervising programs for children and teenagers in accordance with project objectives.
– Planning and planning activities linked to the project’s objectives based on the psychological and social requirements of children and teenagers, as well as developing schedules for them.
– Create quarterly and annual work plans in collaboration with the project manager and distribute them with young intellectuals across all project work sites.
– Ensure that the action plan is implemented on a regular basis by young intellectuals in the field.
– Supervising the extent to which the financier’s standards for the youth component are applied in all project sites.
– Ensure all young intellectuals to understand the project’s objectives.
– Ensure equal access to reproductive health and gender-based violence information and services for both young men and women, including marginalized groups.
– Work on the implementation of supervisory field visits monthly basis to clinics and centers and write periodic reports on supervisory visits
– Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports and documentation on the WIZ MONITOR system
– Carry out any other tasks and obligations assigned to you by your line manager that fit within your area of expertise.
Major Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in childhood science, educational counseling or educational psychology or any field relevant to rehabilitation.
– (3-5) years minimum experience.
Skills & Abilities:
– Good awareness of the law and regulations of humanitarian and international institutions.
– Good awareness of preparation reports either in English or Arabic.
– Good Knowledge of youth’s artistic, social and sports activities.
– Knowledge of teenagers reproductive and sexual health topics.
– Strong communication skills.
– Ability of working and understanding multicultural environments in which development and community engagement projects operate.
– Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS word, Excel, etc.).
Language Requirements:
– Good English & Arabic communication skills (both oral and written).
