About the Job

The Education Literacy/Arabic Language Function contributes to all the programs within the Foundation as needed by developing, reviewing and contextualizing content based on  the latest evidence‐based practices and  resources for schools and educators. and appropriate pedagogical content for various programs.  In addition to designing and implementing Training of Trainers where needed.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Advise on the most up‐to‐date practices in Arabic literacy instruction, and the most promising new approaches  for Arabic language teaching and learning with focus on school curriculum, instructional practices, learning tasks  and assessment.

•  Research  and  iteratively  design,  build  and  test  programs/products  to  improve  student  learning  outcomes  in  Jordan, in line with QRF’s Arabic literacy  focused strategy, and initially focused on the in‐service teacher of the  strategy.

• Arrange  for  the  development  of  products  related  to  Education  Literacy  /  Arabic  Language  in  liaison  with  the  related functions across QRF

• Identify, recruit and appropriately manage key program partnerships and relationships

• Quality control key program deliverables

• Represent  the  Learning  at  school  program  to  external  audiences  –  for  example,  through  blogs,  conference  attendance or forums.

• Develop and run professional development activities and ToTs depending on program

• Develop, review and contextualize efforts of content as relevant to new and or expansions of programs

• Develop and manage the development of Arabic literacy pedagogies and Education related content

• Collaborate and support in managing content experts  to develop high quality Arabic content and products  for  education system and schools

• Perform other research and program development related duties as assigned
