The King Hussein Foundation/ Institute For Family Health is looking to recruit a Senior Case Manager (Child Protection Project – Fixed Term Project):
Job Purpose:
Supporting case Managers in identifying and following up on case needs, coordinating and networking with institutions and individuals from within and outside the institution.
Major Responsibilities:
– Conduct the initial case interview, which includes the initial assessment.
– Apply the risk factor scale to the scenario and assess its requirements.
– Performing documentation tasks on systems.
– Find strategies to secure the case and ensure its safety, as well as to monitor the case on an ongoing basis.
– Reporting incidents involving violence in cases of mandatory reporting and gaining approval through the appropriate reporting channels.
– Creating action plans or intervening to satisfy the case’s needs.
– Holding regular status meetings for all cases, regardless of classification.
– Plan implementation and follow-up work with specialists, including review and modification as needed.
– Close the case file once the action plan has been completed in collaboration with the service providers and the case coordinator.
– Documentation and creation of narrative and periodic reports in Arabic and English.
– Daily supervision of case coordinators in their positions, with the goal of providing technical assistance at every stage of case management and assisting them in organizing the responsibilities given to them in terms of monitoring daily, weekly, and monthly work plans.
– Attend internal and external meetings as recommended by the team leader, technical field officer or project manager.
– Carry out any other tasks and obligations assigned to you by your line manager that fit within your area of expertise.
Requirements:
– bachelor’s degree in psychology or sociology or any related Field. Master’s degree is preferred.
– (2) years minimum in similar career field for master’s degree holder.
– (3) years minimum in similar career field for bachelor’s degree holder.
Skills & Abilities:
– Good knowledge with child rights agreements.
– Good awareness of the law and regulations of humanitarian and international institutions.
– Good awareness of preparation reports either in English or Arabic.
– Strong communication, team building, and team player skills.
– Ability of working and understanding multicultural environments in which development and community engagement projects operate.
– Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS word, Excel, etc.).
– Good Awareness of SOPs procedures.
Language Requirements:
– Excellent English & Arabic communication skills (both oral and written).
