HSE Specialist
A leading industrial company is seeking to hire a HSE Specialist to join its team with the following:
1. Ensure that company policies adhere to local, Nike and International regulations.
2. Train and oversee employees in health and safety regulations.
3. Monitor personnel and workspace.
4. Always ensure the company is prepared to submit the appropriate document.
5. Encourage and advocate for safer work equipment, materials, and supplies.
6. Track the number of incidents and produce reports.
7. Monitor exposure to certain hazardous chemicals.
8. Report to Jordanian Civil Défense, social security and other relevant organizations.
9. Attend seminars/workshops for further education.
10. Work with legislators to support key local legislation.
11. Supervise and coordinate all safety and environmental functions according to corporate policy to ensure compliance with Department of Natural Resources and all related local regulations.
12. Execute excellent safety and environmental practices daily.
13. Mitigate effluent discharge that may adversely impact the environment.
14. Ensure that facility operations and procedures are in accordance with the Spill Act and other applicable laws.
15. Ensure a safe work environment and that all practices follow company and government regulations.
16. Audit and inspect equipment to make sure their operation is within manufacturers’ guidelines.
17. Produce and submit necessary government reports.
18. Initiate and implement safety and environmental training programs for all personnel.
The ideal Candidates should have the following job specifications:
BSc. Degree in Fire and Safety Engineering or equivalent degree
1. MOL Certificate is a must.
2. At least 2-5 years’ experience as HSE specialist
3. Certification and accreditation are a plus:
• NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health)
• IOSH (International Occupation Safety and Health)
• ISO accredited body
• PECB (Professional evaluation Certification Board/Canada) certified body
• NASP (National Association for Safety Professional) Certified Trainer
• MOL Certified Specialist and Certified Trainer
