Qima Coffee is a globally recognised coffee sourcing and trading business that specialises in discovering and offering some of the world’s finest coffees, with the aim of generating sustainable livelihoods for smallholder farmers. Qima was established in 2016, initially sourcing coffee from Yemen with the aim of generating livelihoods for smallholder farmers in one of the world’s most difficult operating environments. Having succeeded in (re)building Yemen’s coffee industry, in 2020 Qima expanded its coffee sourcing operations globally and the company now operates in numerous coffee producing countries and markets and distributes its coffees to over 40 countries worldwide.
Job Description:
We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Global Accounting and Finance Manager to join our finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a an experienced professional with a strong interest in finance and exceptional analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Leadership:

– Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance and mitigate financial risks.
2. International Financial Management:
– Establish and manage financial systems to track and report on international activities.
– Collaborate with regional teams to streamline financial processes across different jurisdictions.
– Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and reporting requirements.
3. Fundraising:
– Lead fundraising efforts, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
– Develop financial models and projections to support fundraising initiatives.
– Engage with investors and financial institutions to secure funding for the company’s growth.
4. Regulatory Compliance:
– Maintain a thorough understanding of the UK regulatory reporting framework and ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations.
– Work with legal and compliance teams to address any regulatory issues that may arise.
5. Financial Planning and Analysis:
– Establish and manage regular reporting cycles, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
– Provide insightful financial analysis to support decision-making processes.

– Monitor cash flow and liquidity, optimizing working capital and ensuring the financial health of the organization.
– Implement effective cash management strategies to support ongoing operations and growth initiatives.

– Manage relationships with multiple external stakeholders, including investors, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies.
– Communicate financial results and key insights to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or professional finance qualification preferred.
– Proven experience as a Head of Finance or similar role in a startup environment.
– Strong understanding of international finance and familiarity with diverse regulatory environments.
– Excellent command of both Arabic and English languages.
– Demonstrated experience in fundraising for startups.
– Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
– In-depth knowledge of the UK regulatory reporting framework.
– Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
