Credit Controller Needed for Consumer Goods Distribution Company in Jordan

An FMCG company is seeking a credit controller with experience in FMCG.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage customer accounts receivable, monitoring and analyzing outstanding balances.

2. Conduct credit checks on new and existing customers to assess creditworthiness.

3. Negotiate and establish payment terms with customers, ensuring adherence to agreed deadlines.

4. Communicate effectively with customers via phone, email, and written correspondence to follow up on overdue payments.

5. Investigate and resolve discrepancies in invoices and customer payments.

6. Maintain accurate records and reports on account receivables and collection activities.

7. Collaborate with the Sales and Credit departments to identify and address potential credit risks.

8. Implement and follow internal credit control policies and procedures.

9. Identify and escalate overdue accounts requiring stronger collection action.

10. Contribute to improving the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the credit control function.

11. Follow up on all the customer’s legal issues to ensure full tracking for all legal cases

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in credit control, preferably within the FMCG industry.

• Proven track record of successfully collecting overdue payments and reducing DSO (Days Sales Outstanding).

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with good knowledge of financial software a plus.

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

• Team player with a positive and results-oriented attitude.
