Bank of Jordan, a leading financial institution in Jordan, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Control & Monitoring Section Head to join our team. As the Control & Monitoring Section Head, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of the bank’s internal controls and monitoring mechanisms. You will be responsible for overseeing the control and monitoring activities, identifying any areas of weakness or non-compliance, and implementing corrective actions to mitigate risks and improve operational processes within the bank.

Responsibilities
- Oversee the control and monitoring section within the bank, ensuring the effectiveness of internal controls and monitoring mechanisms.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify areas of potential weakness or non-compliance.
- Develop and implement control and monitoring policies, procedures, and protocols to mitigate risks and improve operational processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the control and monitoring mechanisms are integrated into various business processes and systems.
- Monitor and analyze key risk indicators and performance metrics to identify trends, anomalies, or areas requiring improvement.
- Provide guidance and training to staff on control and monitoring best practices and regulatory compliance.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on control and monitoring activities, findings, and recommendations for senior management and relevant stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, regulations, and best practices in control and monitoring.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in risk management, internal control, auditing, or related fields, preferably within the banking industry.
- Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks, risk management principles, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in leading and managing a team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to identify risks, assess their impact, and implement appropriate controls.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools for control and monitoring activities.
- Professional certifications such as CIA, CISA, or CRMA will be considered an asset.
