Country Manager
About the job
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Country Manager to join our team, taking charge of overseeing all aspects of our business operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sports management, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing multifaceted businesses. The Country Manager will play a pivotal role in driving strategic initiatives, ensuring operational efficiency, and contributing to the growth and success of The Padelist.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
-Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth.
-Identify new opportunities for expansion, partnerships, and revenue streams.
Operational Oversight
-Manage and optimize day-to-day operations, ensuring a seamless experience for customers and clients.
-Oversee the functioning of Padel courts, bookings, retail outlets, and F&B services, and establish a process for inventory management.
-Collaborate with department heads to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.
Financial Input
-Keep a vigilant eye on budgets, financial forecasts, and performance metrics.

Team Leadership
-Provide effective leadership to the team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
-Mentor staff to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.
Sales and Marketing
-Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop and execute effective strategies for promoting The Padelist services and products.
-Drive customer acquisition and retention efforts.
Community Engagement
-Strengthen and expand The Padelist community by developing and implementing initiatives to engage players, enthusiasts, and partners.
-Foster relationships with key stakeholders and represent The Padelist at industry events.
Facility Management
-Oversee the construction and maintenance of Padel courts, ensuring they meet the highest standards.
-Aid in the coordination with suppliers and vendors to secure quality goods and equipment.
Quality Control
-Implement and uphold quality standards across all aspects of the business, from services to products.
Crisis Management
-Ability to effectively manage crises and navigate challenging situations with resilience and a solution-oriented mindset.
-Proven experience in developing and implementing risk management strategies.

-Bachelor’s degree in business management, Sports Management, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
-5+ years of proven experience in a fast-growing business and/or startup environment.
-Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
-Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
-Familiarity with Padel or similar racket sports is advantageous.
-Experience in the sports and/or recreation industry is a plus.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
-Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Microsoft Planner, or similar).
