Senior Tax Consultant

At JPA Jordan (Bayt Alhekmah for Tax & Business Advisory), we provide our clients with expert tax guidance and efficient tax preparation, and we are looking for a senior Tax Consultant /Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate MUST have a

  • Minimum of 5 YEARS EXPERIENCE in corporate tax consultation, individual tax Consultation, Tax Accounting, and variable tax deductions,
  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting in addition to (Enabah Certificate) (شهادة انابه),
  • Strong English language and professional communication skills, and;
  • Accounting skills: Strong Accounting experience in the fields of Service sector, Manufacturing and Merchandise sector, candidate need to have a thorough understanding of accounting principles and practices. This includes knowledge of bookkeeping, budgeting, financial analysis and reporting. In addition to be able to read and interpret financial statements and other complex financial documents.

Duties & Responsibilities

The senior tax consultant / accountant will be responsible for preparing and reviewing income and sales tax returns, as well as providing tax planning and consulting services to our clients. He or she will also be responsible for training and mentoring junior staff.

  • • Prepare and file income and sales tax returns for all types of clients.
  • • Research and interpret tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance with tax legislations,
  • • Continuous Tax planning for the clients, Identify opportunities for clients to minimize their tax liability through efficient tax planning,
  • • Stay abreast of changes in tax legislation and advise clients accordingly
  • • Manage client relationships by providing prompt, courteous, and professional service,
  • • Develop a strong understanding of each client’s business in order to provide comprehensive tax advice,
  • • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting software programs to efficiently prepare tax returns
  • • Train and mentor junior staff members and trainees on tax research and preparation techniques,
  • • Review work papers and tax returns prepared by junior staff to ensure accuracy and compliance,
  • • Respond to inquiries from the ISTD audit requirements and represent clients before the ISTD,
  • • Prepare and deliver presentations on tax topics to clients, professional groups, and community organizations.

Report to: Tax Manager
