Senior Manager, ICT Pricing and Bid Strategy- Omani Nationals Only

About the job

The Senior Manager, ICT Pricing and Bid Strategy, plays a pivotal role in developing and implementing strategies and processes for both pricing and bid management functions within the ICT division. This position focuses on maximizing revenue and profitability while ensuring competitiveness in the market. The Senior Manager leads a team and collaborates with stakeholders to create cohesive strategies aligned with the companys long-term growth and profitability goals

Pricing Strategy Development

  • Develop and implement pricing strategies, pricing models, and benchmarking methodologies for ICT solutions/services to optimize revenue and profitability.
  • Develop and implement Group ICT pricing framework (covering The company ICT+ Subsidiaries) to maximize the Group ICT revenue and profitability.
  • Revamp the existing Business Cases, existing Business Cases and introduce innovative ideas and models. Work closely with the finance department to develop, frame, and secure approval for these new initiatives.
  • Conduct market research and analyze customer behavior to determine pricing trends and competitor strategies in the ICT industry.
  • Evaluate cost components and align pricing with the value and features of ICT solutions/services.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to design pricing promotions and discounts for ICT offerings.
  • Monitor pricing effectiveness and adjust based on market trends and ICT industry developments.
  • Evaluate, implement, and optimize pricing tools and systems to streamline pricing processes and enhance decision-making capabilities.
  • Analyze financial data and performance metrics to make data-driven pricing decisions.

Bid Management Strategy Development

  • Lead the formulation of strategic approaches for bidding on ICT projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements, market trends, and business objectives.
  • Enhance end-to-end bid management process by Introducing SLAs, Reports, Repository and prepare template for small bids and quotes, RFP/RFI analysis, proposal development mechanisms, and contract negotiations.
  • Review all existing proposal templates, initiate a comprehensive revamp, and ensure that they are up to date, aligned with customer needs, and effectively represent The company with a strong and professional image. The goal is to enhance the quality and effectiveness of all proposal templates to maximize success in bidding for various projects. Close collaboration with relevant stakeholders will be crucial to achieve this task.
  • Highlight and lead the coordination for the scope and timelines of new bids to the wider team.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and complete bid submissions for ICT projects.
  • Review and evaluate bid proposals to align them with ICT pricing strategies and customer needs.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Communicate ICT pricing strategies and bid management updates to stakeholders within the ICT division.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to align strategies for ICT offerings.
  • Engage with customers and partners during the bid management process for ICT projects

Compliance and Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure ICT pricing strategies and bids comply with regulations and ethical standards.
  • Identify potential risks associated with pricing decisions and bids and develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor ICT industry trends and competitors strategies for pricing and bids.
  • Drive continuous improvement through post-bid reviews and lessons learned for ICT projects.

Team Management

  • Lead and manage the ICT Pricing and Bid Strategy team.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members within the ICT division.
  • Set performance goals and conduct performance evaluations for the ICT Pricing and Bid Strategy team.

Reporting

Create and manage daily, weekly, and quarterly performance reports for effective bid tracking and decision-making.

Direct Financial Responsibility

  • Revenue and profit impact of pricing strategies.
  • Budgeting costs for bid proposal preparation.
  • Revenue generation from successful bids.
  • Profit margins on ICT contracts.
  • Cost management and cost savings
  • Pricing and bid-related budget management.

Requirements Knowledge / Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of pricing strategies, market dynamics, and bid management processes within the ICT industry.
  • Knowledge of financial analysis and cost evaluation specific to ICT products and services.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and pricing/bid management software.

Education /Certifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, ICT, or related field.
  • Proficiency in professional certifications within relevant domains such as Pricing and Bid Strategy, as well as specific certifications associated with vendors such as Cisco, Microsoft, AWS, and others, are considered advantageous

Experience

  • Minimum of total 8 years of experience in pricing and bid management roles within the ICT industry, within which at least 3 years in a managerial and leadership positions.
  • Proven track record of developing successful pricing strategies and managing bid submissions for ICT projects
