JOB PURPOSE
BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Naval Force (RSNF) ships and train RSNF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

This role is to carry out repairs and maintenance of Al Jawf Class Minehunters weapons systems, equipment and provide specialist services to all RSNF ships. The incumbent is responsible for training the RSNF assigned personnel in all aspects of this post.. Maintenance of the Al Jawf Class Minehunters and associated support equipment in accordance with the RSNF Al Jawf Class Maintenance Management System..
Job Accountabilities

To maintain and repair defects in ships weapons equipment including RBOC, DS30B Gun, Small Arms, MEMS and Fibre Optics.
To undertake all other duties as assigned on Al Jawf Class Minehunters.
To implement and adhere to the Maintenance Management System routines, including established fault finding and analytical maintenance techniques.
Deploy with the Forward Support Unit as required, and to work shift patterns to provide full technical support for the ships. Accommodation will be provided within the FSU complex during deployment.
To comply with all RSNF directives and safety procedures and Codes of Practice.
To observe confidentiality of RSNF data at all times.
Maintenance of the Al Jawf Class Minehunters and associated support equipment in accordance with the RSNF Al Jawf Class Maintenance Management System.
RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION
Ordinary National Certificate or equivalent or a combination of training and experience which provides an equivalent educational standard
Weapons engineering experience
Expertise in the Remote Controlled Mine Disposal System (RCMDS) is desirable
A good working knowledge of the weapons systems and equipment fitted to the Sandown class ships is desirable
Ex Navy senior with substantial workshop experience would be suitable
