A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

• Assures implementation of the IHG/Intercontinental Jordan Hotel’s policies, standards and procedures for:
• Assure the Implementation of IHG Brand Quality Standards while performing inspection and repair works within the Hotel premises.
• Effective preventive and routine maintenance.
• Maintenance planning and schedules.
• Inspections and staff supervision.
• POMEC labor standards and labor cost controls.
• Appearance and housekeeping of all engineering workshops and related spaces.
• Construction works.
• Supports and initiates programs for the improvement of procedures and the reduction of costs.
• Establishes and uses techniques to monitor and supervise the work of subordinates, monitor the results of delegated assignments.
• Use training and development resources to improve subordinate’s skills and abilities.
• Helps subordinates qualify for future opportunities.
• Communicates with guests by telephone or in person to ensure that maintenance requests have been satisfactorily completed.
• Ensures a 10-15 minute response for all urgent maintenance requests including guest requests.
• Responsible for the following work systems:
• Maintenance orders.
• Functions
• Construction work
• Renovation work
• Yearly building maintenance
• Ensures that sidewalks and walkways around the property are smooth and even, free of damage, well-marked and lit.

What We Need From You

• Luxury hotel experience preferred.
• Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language.
• BA in engineering.
• 4 years’ experience as an engineer in hotels or equivalent.
