Attributes of Human Resources Manager

A person who enjoys taking extra mile to ensure the success of the Human Resources Division. He / She enjoys standing out in the crowd and maintaining excellent relationships with all internal and external guests. Someone who is a natural leader and enjoys the challenge in exceeding the highest standards of the human resources management, while maintaining colleague satisfaction and consistency of service.

Main Roles / Responsibilities Required :

To represent the Human Resources function on the hotel’s leadership committee, manage the HR team making sure they provide the appropriate level of professional, courteous and caring service to other colleagues and visitors.
To fulfil the financial objectives of the hotel through proper and efficient management, prepare and update the annual HR budget, policies and procedures.
Ensure colleague facilities within the hotel are maintained to high standards.
Implement a strong colleague communications program; ensure that all in-house rules and regulations are communicated to associates.
Oversee the hotel’s recruitment and selection process, providing Division Heads with effective and efficient recruitment solutions.
Driving the Learning strategy and internal development of supervisory and management personnel, through the implementation of an effective succession plan and coaching / mentoring program.
A supporting colleague at the resort with there work-related issue and challenges.
Supporting colleagues at the resort with they careering planing, training and development.
Overall responsible for resort generic training implementation and drive departmental training.
Work on resolving team member conflict and coach and guide them, if required disciplinary action should be taken.
Overall Responsibility for Human Resource administrative process.
Oversee the hotel’s colleague welfare programs, ensuring that the benefits supplied are relevant and competitive in the local market place.
Maintain efficient staffing levels and payroll systems, helping Divisions to maximize productivity and minimize unnecessary payroll costs.
Take an active interest in colleagues’ welfare, safety, morale and development, conduct yearly performance appraisal and provide regular feedback to the team.
Ensure all colleagues report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and nametag, and provide courteous and professional service.
Counsel colleagues in career prospect, personal and job-related issues, grievance, discipline, etc..
Ensure a strong professional relationship with all levels of colleagues within the hotel, as well as with HR representatives from competitive hotels and other organizations.
Strictly adhere to and implement government-stipulated colleague legislation. Communicate with the labor department and labour law specialists, and have a thorough understanding of the local labour law.
The project at all times a positive and motivated attitude and exercise self-control.
Human resource manager rule-based at the resort Sunday to Thursday with Normal administrative hours.
To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times as per the grooming standards
Maintain a good rapport and working relationship with all colleagues.
Perform additional tasks and project assign by the Management.

Substitution and Duties

To undertake any reasonable tasks and secondary duties as assigned by the General Manager. To participate in the hotel’s duty management roster.
