Area Sales Support Manager, Eastern Europe – Tower Cranes

About the job

Job Description:

Position Overview:

You will be responsible for supporting all Terex Tower Cranes sales activities in the Eastern Europe and Turkey region (CIS, Czech Rep., Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey) reporting to Area Sales Leader and working in conjunction with Global Commercial Office in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. This position is supposed to be based in a country in the Eastern Europe Region and working from home remotely if not on business trips.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Working as an Area Sales Support Manager in our Tower Cranes business with your primary role being to act as a first point of contact for the customers in the region
  • Supporting the customer and the Global Commercial Office during the complete sales process – from product presentation to order and to shipment. This includes providing the Global Commercial Office will all information needed to execute the sales transaction
  • Working closely with our Terex Financial Services Team to promote our funding solutions
  • Maintaining existing customer relations and have a clearly defined plan to significantly support expansion of our customer / distributors base
  • Conducting product presentations and trainings for customers and distributors, organize promotional visits to job sites and Terex Tower Cranes manufacturing facility
  • Gathering product and market intelligence
  • Working closely with our Global Marketing Team to promote our brand and increase our market exposure. You will be expected to take part in regional promotional events and on occasions attend international trade shows and conferences
  • Working closely with our Service and Parts Teams to improve the after-market responsiveness in the region

  • Increase of sales turnover in the region
  • Market share improvement year on year measured by unit sales in your defined region
  • Increased customer base, new targeted customers are critical to your success
  • Introduction of new products to the market

Your experience:

  • Technical goods sales management experience is essential
  • Technical education is essential
  • A well demonstrated track record of success in Sales is essential
  • Understanding of financing solutions for capital goods is also essential

Your key skills:

  • Self-starter who takes ownership of the assigned region, understands accountability and is capable of working under pressure
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient with PC and familiar with online communication tools, as well as with social selling
  • Strong work ethic demonstrating transparency, integrity and trust
  • Ability to interact with your peers in a multi-national organization and to leverage this your advantage
  • Strong negotiating and closure skills are vitally important to succeed in this role
  • Ability to interpret company priorities and policies and adhere to these is imperative
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English, one other European language is a must (preferably Russian)

Travel:

Ability and willingness to travel (up to 75% of the time), both nationally and internationally and often at short notice is essential.
