Warehouse Specialist

About the job

The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for all warehouse spaces and activities, including but not limited to receipt and issue of inventories as well as to ensure smooth workflow and compliance with established procedures and protocols. He/she will be responsible for all inventory, all warehouse discrepancies, quality, completeness of inventories, availability of technical passports and quality certificates. Functional responsibility for the proper management of the warehouse. Therefore, proven knowledge on labor protection and industrial safety is required.

He/she will report directly to the Head of Warehouse. He/she will be guided by the instructions of Head of Warehouse and Chief Engineer, Company’s standards and policies.

Responsibilities

Carry out functions on storage; receipt and issue of inventories (materials and spare parts for process equipment, consumables, PPE, oils and lubricants, devices, tools) with rational use of warehouse spaces;
Monitor the quality, expire dates, shelf life, completeness of inventories, availability of technical passports and quality certificates;
Manage loading-unloading operations and placement of goods inside the warehouse premises and open storage areas; generate QR codes and allocate storage bins for goods received;
Ensure safety of material inventory as well as arranges inventories and takes part in audits;
Perform physical inventory counts;
Maintain records, prepares and submits reports on goods movement and stock balances;
Organize the return of items subject to repair / non-conformance to supplier;
Assist and monitor preservation activities for equipment, devices, tools and parts in storage;
Make records and transactions in Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS);
Perform warehouse operations in accordance with procedure on goods receipt, issue and storage;
Fulfil additional assignments of Head of Warehouse and Chief engineer;
Assist in handling all types of waste in accordance with environmental requirements;
Has awareness of health and safety procedures.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Higher Education Industrial, Technical / Logistics degree;
At least 5 years’ experience in the field of warehouse and procurement preferably operational environments; terminals and facilities for oil and gas industries (as a specialist);
Experience with organization and technology of warehouse facilities; accounting of inventory items of an integrated enterprise management system;
Experience with device packaging and methods of securing transported goods;
Familiarity with Turkish HSSE legislation, standards and internal requirements;
Confident PC user, advanced user of MS Office;
Fluency in English (advanced level) and Turkey (native), Russian language as advantage.
