Alethea seeks a Business Operations Manager to champion our operational strategies, leading our teams towards operational excellence and ensuring alignment with company goals. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in streamlining business processes, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget, and fostering collaborations across departments. We expect this leader to manage multiple teams across different time zones and serve as the liaison between various departments, offer keen insights from data-driven analyses, and provide oversight on administrative tasks, ensuring the seamless functioning of our business processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Management & Leadership:

Lead, mentor, and evaluate the business operations team.

Conduct regular alignment meetings and provide feedback.

Foster cross-functional collaboration to meet targets.

Source and onboard local and international team members to strengthen the operational capacity.

Operational Excellence:

Manage day-to-day operations for efficiency and effectiveness.

Implement scalable processes and identify areas for improvement.

Address operational bottlenecks and challenges proactively.

Project & Product Management:

Oversee critical projects ensuring timely completion within budget.

Lead Scrum with expertise in Jira for enterprise projects.

Design and execute IoT solutions from conception to completion.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

Analyze metrics and provide insights to senior leadership.

Generate concise operational performance reports.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

Collaborate across departments for seamless operational support.

Act as the primary contact for operational queries and escalations.

Source resources and partnerships, both locally and internationally.

Budgeting, Financial Oversight, and Administrative Management:

Manage operations budget and forecast expenses effectively.

Provide input into budgeting processes and help forecast operational expenses. Oversee office administrative tasks, including but not limited to procurement of supplies, facilities management, and liaison with administrative vendors.

Who You Are:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field. Master’s degree preferred. A minimum of 5 years experience in a business operations role, with a proven track record of managing teams and large-scale projects.

Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring teams, driving operational excellence, and fostering cross-functional collaboration.

Proficiency in aligning business operations with strategic goals, developing operational best practices, and identifying areas for improvement.

Skilled in overseeing critical projects from inception to completion. Familiarity with project management tools like Asana and methodologies like Scrum.

Strong capability to analyze metrics, derive insights, and present them to senior leadership for data-driven decision-making.

Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships across departments and with external partners.

Experience in managing budgets, forecasting operational expenses, and ensuring financial prudence in operational undertakings.

Demonstrated experience in overseeing administrative tasks, from procurement of supplies to liaising with vendors and facilities management.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information succinctly and effectively.

A goal-driven mindset, always aiming for improvement and striving to meet and exceed objectives.

High level of professionalism, ethics, and integrity in all interactions, coupled with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
