The resort forms part of a larger development that includes 300 high-end residential townhouses and villas, taking advantage of some of the most beautiful, unspoilt coastline in the Middle East.

An exciting role has arisen for a talented energetic Lifeguard Role to join the pre-opening department at Jumeirah Muscat Bay Resort. The main purpose of this role is to be responsible and vigilant at all times when working in the Hotel pools and beaches by maintaining the 10/20 or 10/3 rule where applicable.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
To become a licensed lifeguard of Ellis & Associates in order to deliver the necessary skills such as water rescues, First Aid, and CPR when needed. Skill levels must be audit ready at all times in order to exceed the highest standards of safety.
To understand and follow all Ellis & Associates guidelines, Jumeirah Zabeel Saray Hotel Standard Operating Procedures and Emergency Actions Plans in order to have in-depth knowledge of the operational requirements and protocol.
Ensure the safety of members and guests swimming in the pool and sea and employ lifesaving procedures as required.
Maintenance of all life saving equipment ensuring it is in good working order ready for use at all times.
Maintain high levels of cleanliness in and around the designated areas i.e. litter free beach and pool area.
Using any machinery, equipment or dangerous substance is used in accordance with training and instruction received
Policing the beach, ensuring that no unauthorized people should enter the club premises.
Maintain excellent levels of fitness as required for lifesaving responsibilities.
Maintain a neat and clean appearance and good command of spoken English.
Be aware of the fire and safety regulations and procedures at the hotel and know the evacuation procedure and the Attend training sessions as required.
Attend department communication meetings as required.
Ensure that members and guests adhere to the club rules and regulations.
Carry out tasks required by Team Leader/Assistant Manager.
Be aware of the Lost and Found policy. This is vital you adhere to the procedures as laid out in this document.
Ensure you report for duty on time.
Do not wear jewelry, except a wedding ring, and a watch on duty. location of the evacuation meeting point.
About You
In order to be considered for this role, you should have the below qualifications and experiences.
Lifeguard certification
First aid and CPR certified
Strong swimming skills
Must have English equivalent

About The Role
An exciting role has arisen for a talented and energetic Fitness Instructor Role to join the pre-opening at Jumeirah Muscat Bay Resort. The main purpose of this role is to assist the Sports & Leisure Director, Sports & Leisure Manager / Asst. S&L Manager to plan, organize and supervise the overall operation of the health club in order to maintain quality standards and achieve complete guest satisfaction.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
Conduct and lead yoga classes.
Consulting with guests to understand their goals and current fitness levels.
Leading regular group workout classes.
Working with management and fellow colleagues to ensure the gym functions effectively.
Follow all standard operating procedures, as specified by the hotel and Dubai Municipality
Liaise with line management and guests on a daily basis.
Formulate training plans for the members and supervising the guests and members.
Ensure all equipment is cleaned and operated in accordance with the operating instructions from the manufacturer.
Formulate marketing plans and activities to maximize the use of the gymnasium.
Liaise with all colleagues in a fair and professional manner, concentrating on development of the business and employee skills.
Perform duties of duty manager as and when required.
Responsible for the timekeeping records of the gymnasium colleagues and rota allocation (in the absence of S&L Manager).
Maintain all necessary forms and records needed.
Maintain the cleanliness of fitness assessment room.
Prepare / plan a monthly fitness timetable (in absence of S&L Manager)
Maintain the health card record for any freelancer instructor.
Provide orientation to clients prior to undertaking a fitness program.
Apply basic exercise science to fitness activities.
Undertake client induction and screening.
Develop basic fitness programs.
Apply basic exercise science to exercise instruction
Use and maintain core fitness industry equipment.
About You
In order to be considered for this role, you should have the below qualifications and experiences.
To have obtained and passed Personal Training Certification from reputable organization such as The American Council on Exercise (ACE) or similar and experience working in the Health and Fitness industry in a 5 star Hospitality environment
Additional group exercise class qualifications
Fluent in English at Business Level in verbal and written communications
Excellent Computer Skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint)
Preferably worked in a 5 star hotel or any service industry
Able to Multi Task
Out going and assertive
Good Listener
