Job Purpose:The Buyer will develop and execute the buying strategy for one or more product categories and oversee day to day management of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Be completely aware of the customer’s requirement and need to work in a customer- centric manner.
Should be able to deliver profits with carefully curated assortments which is line with market trend, changing consumer behavior.
Should have strong interpersonal skills to effectively lead, interact and collaborate with internal as well as external stakeholders.
Be ethical, empathetic and fair in day to day dealings with internal team, suppliers and customers.

KPIs:

Procurement against OTB
Desired Sell thru %
Yearly Stock Turn
Yearly and monthly Gross Profit
Maintaining discounts as per the planner’s guideline
Maintain spot and forward stock cover.
Liquidation to maintain ageing PROCESS IMPLEMENTATION
Place forecast and buys in advance for pre-order brands
Create Joint business plans with local suppliers to ensure winter and summer seasons are tackled
Good better best – high low medium – Seasonal core : Identify and split the buy and the inventory as per agreed hierarchy INTERDEPARTMENT CO-ORDINATION
Ensuring timely deliveries in co-ordination with business support team
Working with marketing department to help create relevant marketing and communication plan
Working with finance department and plan buys to ensure smooth cash flow
Working with planning department to ensure OTB is managed smoothly with inputs about the brands and seasonal performance
