This position serves as the senior advisor to the Consular section on all fraud-related matters.  The incumbent is the primary analyst, liaison, and investigator for all fraud investigations related to U.S. citizenship or immigration benefits.  The incumbent is responsible for investigating any instance of fraud in any referred Non-Immigrant Visa (NIV), Immigrant Visa (IV), or American Citizens Services (ACS) case, providing support in investigating cases referred by Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Regional Security Office (RSO), and working with Jordanian officials to investigate and reduce instances of fraud or illegal activity.  The incumbent develops, implements, administers, maintains, tracks, reports, and ensures compliance with all aspects of Post’s Fraud Prevention Program.  Works with Fraud Prevention Manager and Consular Officers to report on fraud trends and conduct validation studies for Washington agencies.  Supports NIV, IV, and ACS in daily tasks as needed, particularly focusing on potential areas of fraud.

 

 

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of three years of professional-level experience in investigative work is required. Experience can be from criminal, claims, or private investigations; experience in police, military, or intelligence organizations; or in anti-fraud or forensic analysis fields is required.

COVID-19 Requirements for Eligible Family Members:
As required by Executive Order 14043, Eligible Family Members who will be employed on a Family Member Appointment (FMA) or a Temporary Appointment (TEMP) are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 regardless of the employee’s duty location or work arrangement (e.g., telework, remote work, etc.), subject to such exceptions as required by law.
