Job Title: Topographer (5 topographers are requested)
Job Location: DR Congo
Role Overview:
As a Topographer, you will play a crucial role in accurately mapping and analyzing geographical features and land formations. You will utilize various tools and technologies to collect, record, and interpret data to create detailed topographic maps. Your expertise in surveying methods and proficiency in using mapping software will contribute to the successful completion of projects within specified deadlines.
Responsibilities:
– Conduct surveys and field measurements to gather precise data on the Earth’s surface, including elevations, contours, and physical features.
– Use specialized equipment such as total stations, GPS receivers, and LiDAR scanners to collect accurate spatial data.
– Process collected data using mapping software to create detailed topographic maps.
– Analyze survey data, including digital elevation models (DEMs), to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
– Collaborate with other professionals, such as civil engineers or urban planners, to understand project requirements and deliver accurate results.

Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics Engineering, Surveying Engineering, Geography, or a related field.
– Proven experience working as a Topographer or similar role (1-6 years).
-French language is essential.
– Proficiency in surveying methods and techniques, including the use of total stations, GPS receivers, LiDAR scanners, etc.
