Cloud Specialist in our office in Jordan

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Infrastructure and Development teams to design scalable and resilient Azure-based solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
• Progressively work towards obtaining Azure Solution Architect certification, demonstrating the ability to design advanced cloud solutions on the Azure platform.
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Terraform, or other relevant tools.
• Assist in the migration of on-premises systems to Azure, ensuring minimal downtime and adherence to best practices.
• Implement Azure security best practices, including Identity and Access Management (IAM), network security, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Monitor and optimize Azure resources for cost efficiency, scalability, and performance.
• Collaborate with DevOps and Development teams to enable DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment processes.
• Maintain detailed documentation of Azure infrastructure designs, configurations, and procedures.
• Diagnose and resolve Azure-related issues, working closely with support teams and Microsoft Azure support when necessary.
• Stay updated on Azure cloud technologies and best practices, actively seeking opportunities for skill enhancement and certification.

Skills & Competencies

• Azure Solution Architect Expert certification or equivalent professional certification in cloud technologies.
• Solid understanding of cloud architecture, including Azure services, networking, storage, security, and identity management.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security practices and compliance standards.
• Proficient in designing and optimizing cloud infrastructure for scalability and cost-effectiveness.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

 

Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Proven experience as a Cloud Solution Architect, with a focus on designing and implementing solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with cloud migration strategies, implementation, and best practices.
• Additional Azure certifications or Azure DevOps experience are a plus.
