AHLI FINTECH is a financial innovation venture and solution building, fintech investor, incubator and accelerator, and financial technologies software, hardware, and professional services provider. Its vision is to promote the fintech ecosystem and establish Jordan as a regional hub for fintech innovation.

Ahli Fintech is currently looking for an Investment Analyst to join our team.

The primary role of the Investment Analyst is to support with deal sourcing, diligence, analysis, research, negotiation, closing, and supporting our founder’s post-investment. You will help lead and shape the incubator and seed practice, and its connection to our later stage investing practice.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist the Investment team to drive timely and accurate information flow from the portfolio companies to the fund.
• Lead on analyzing the data and processing reports, including quarterly and annual reports for AHLI FINTECH Investment Committee and other internal stakeholders.
• Design and implement reporting dashboards, templates, and the associated data pipeline to deliver insights and enhance the workflows of internal teams.
• Advise and monitor data collection to ensure proper data input (identify and recommend new ways to streamline data input).
• Deal sourcing and due diligence on potential investments, including analyzing companies by developing a deep understanding of their team, customers, sales process and market.
• Conducting research that cuts across macro, sectors, and industries, to tie into investment thesis.
• Preparing financial models and analysis where required.
• Managing and updating the deal pipeline and all information systems relating to deals from sourcing to exit.
• Preparing deal memorandums and risk assessments for all new and follow-on investments.
• Preparing research reports and decks for the AHLI FINTECH Investment Committee.
• Managing tracking and reporting efforts for existing portfolio, including valuation of portfolio companies and other special projects.
• Supporting the portfolio with their needs, especially follow-on funding.
• Speaking at events to build networks with ecosystem players.
• Developing the early-stage and seed investment practices and the evolution of their strategies.
• Supporting the team with events and community, engage with the broader fintech and startup community and build network.
• Support with communications, including PR materials and content generation, managing social media and other digital efforts around Ahli fintech and portfolio news.

Requirements, Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands on experience in investment analysis, preferably in early to seed stage venture capital, private equity, or investment banking, or proven knowledge and interest in startup / venture ecosystem and technology trends especially in MENA through prior work / output / activities.
• Excellent proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Expert spreadsheet experience (formulas, dashboards, charts, etc)
• Ability to easily understand and assess business models, people and market opportunities.
• Ability to embark on deep, studied research where necessary.
• Very good analytical skills, including data and financial analysis.
• Advanced problem-solving skills.
• Highly organized, shown to meet tight deadlines along with consistent accuracy.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
• Ability to multitask.
• Comfortable with a variety of responsibilities and working in a lean team.
