Summary:

We’re seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our team. As a Software Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining backend services and real-time features using Node.js and AWS Cloud Services. You’ll work closely with frontend developers to ensure a seamless user experience and will be responsible for code optimization, mentoring junior team members, and maintaining security compliance.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js.
• Implement real-time features using WebSockets for a seamless user experience.
• Work closely with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Leverage AWS cloud services for scalable and resilient systems, including but not limited to EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS.
• Write reusable, testable, and efficient code.
• Conduct performance tuning and stress testing and resolve latency issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
• Code review and mentor junior developers in the team.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation for system design and implementation.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in backend development, with at least 3 years focused on Node.js.
• Strong experience in AWS Cloud Services.
• Proficient in implementing real-time features using WebSockets.
• Familiarity with RESTful API design and microservices architecture.
• Strong knowledge of databases, both SQL and NoSQL.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
