Job Opportunity: Structural Engineer
Engicon is currently seeking a talented and experienced “Structural Engineer” to join its team in Amman, Jordan. As a Structural Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in contributing to various projects under general professional supervision, holding yourself accountable for self-contained work. Your technical expertise will be essential in executing basic technical activities, ensuring adherence to budget constraints, and meeting delivery timelines in line with the company’s quality procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
– Effective understanding and execution of basic technical activities.
– Ensuring that all assigned project tasks are delivered within or at the agreed budget and in accordance with company quality procedures and delivery timelines.
– Coordinate with different Engineering disciplines, suppliers, authorities, and clients.
– Ensure structural systems design compliance with codes and best practices.
– Preparing structural calculations and technical reports and other project documents applying standard methods.
– Participating in regulatory, technical, and third-party consultation as required.
– Providing support as required to proposal development unit.
– Maintaining and implementing corporate policies and standards and their application on projects.
Qualifications & Competencies:
– Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering from an accredited institution (master’s degree is an advantage).
– 7-10 years of experience as a structural engineer for concrete structures (analysis and design).
– Proficiency in engineering principles, basic structural analysis, and design concepts.
– Sound knowledge of applicable local and international codes and standards.
– Work experience in the Middle East or in the design of Middle East projects.
– Experience with technical design software (Etabs, SAP, SAFE, etc.).
– Proficient in Revit Structure and AutoCAD for engineering drawings.
– Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
– Strong technical report writing skills.
– Highly motivated, independent worker with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
– Organized and methodical with advanced planning skills.
– Desire for continuous professional development and knowledge acquisition.
– Team player with a proactive attitude towards execution and delivery.
