Sales & Marketing Coordinator – Crowne Plaza Resort Salalah

About the job

What is the Job?

Under the general guidance and supervision of the Director of Sales & Marketing, and within the limits of established IHG policies, and procedures. To provide complete secretarial and clerical support with administrative backup to the entire Sales and Marketing team.

Your day to day:

FINANCIAL RETURNS:

  • Be aware of the resort’s product and operation.
  • Operate Sales & Marketing Reporting System or any other IHG computer systems.
  • Carry out all typing requests as directed by the DOSM, ADOS, Managers, and Executive.
  • Prepare various reports as and when required
  • Maintain accurate and well-organized filing systems.
  • Ensure the tidiness and neatness of the Sales & Marketing Department.
  • Distribute all memos and internal mail to their correct destinations.
  • Deal with all relevant correspondence.
  • Note and transcribe minutes of all departmental meetings as and when requested.
  • Maintain an adequate supply of stationery and keep on the inventory of stores held.
  • Answer all telephone calls, especially in the absence of the managers and executives, ensuring that accurate and legible messages

are taken.

  • Regularly collect correspondence from the department pigeon-hole and circulate it to relevant parties.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures of the Resort.
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as and when assigned.
  • Making sure that Banquet reservation books are kept up to date to minimize potential losses and maximize revenue.

PEOPLE:

  • Interacts with others in the department.
  • Communicating and coordinating with all departments as appropriate.
  • Establishes and maintains effective employee relations.

GUEST EXPERIENCE:

  • Interact with Resort guests and individuals outside the Resort, ensuring that they receive the quality of service associated with

InterContinental Hotels Group.

RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS:

  • Develop awareness and reputation of the resort and the brand in the local community.

What do we need from you?

  • Communicates and liaises with customers via telephone and e-mail
  • Assist in the compilation of all reports, presentations, and coordination of sales activity
  • Responsible for maintaining client database, RFPs, and rate loading.
  • Respond to inquiries from clients, hotels, and other sales regions.

  • Pro-active approach and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and administrative skills.
  • Ability to organize self and teamwork.
  • Maintains accurate customer and sales team data.
  • Produce monthly and ad hoc reports, and presentations on time.
  • Implement RFP and rate loading for the sales team.
  • Manage the diaries of the sales team to ensure effective time management.
  • Administrating the sales process, including Trade Shows, Roadshows, and Events.
