ROLE PURPOSE:
Ensure a safe, clean and functional environment for our visitors and co-workers. Maintain the building high level of hygiene, non-selling furniture, interior and exterior in “shape as new” to promote the image and brand of IKEA.

- Drive the soft services agenda in the store.
- work with the appropriate managers to reduce the potential of future occurrences and escalate issues where appropriate, related to soft services management
- Maintain efficient cleaning plans for the store with various service providers
- Ensure that all third parties are aware about store soft services rules & manage the soft services service provider.
- Develop and Update the soft services SOPs on a regular basis.
- Ensue all provided cleaning services are economical (value Vs agreed budget).
- Apply KPIS to suppliers & develop and improve 3rd party team skills
- Manage sustainability achieving zero landfill
- Handle the Invoicing and LPO issuing for soft services related materials.
- Manage costs under the risk team and work with the Leadership Team to maximize efficiency of spend without impacting on levels of service to the customer of Safety standards
- Contribute to IKEA development by supporting national expansion projects. To build key relationships with external bodies in order to champion IKEA within the local community
- Reviewing & attendance of MEP& Facilities meeting and drive the soft services agenda.
- Survey soft services quality across the store and take corrective action according to findings.
- Monitor soft services, waste management and pest control daily activities.
- Revise and handling waste management technical reports.
- Monitor quality of services provided by third parties through site inspections.
- Provide feedback, report to management with opinions and suggestions.
- Communicate and coordinate with the other departments, all third party contractors, suppliers and relevant Government departments.
- Check and approve all drawings and technical material where required and give advice accordingly based on experience, research and expertise.
- Participate in annual budget reviews and setting for Ops department.
- Participate in the tender preparation and review for all soft services contracts.
- Plan and forecast various soft services for new expansion projects.
- Respond and co-operate with any Government requirements associated with sites to achieve the work required and ensure compliance with all government departments.
- Support and backup the HSM in evacuation drills & safety matters
- Build relationships & maintain good contacts with soft services consumables manufacturers and agents.
- Drive waste management services and pest control services
- Effectively manage and inspire team, with particular reference to their selection, training and development in order to ensure having a competent and well informed team to meet customer needs and expectations and have in place a workable and realistic succession plan
PERSON SPECIFIC:
- Education:
High educational level Bachelor degree
Certified ISO 140001 is a plus
- Minimum Experience and Knowledge:
5 years in soft services management
Job-Specific/Technical Skills required to complete the tasks:
- Familiar with cleaning chemicals, soft services consumables, recycling cycle and all services related to waste management.
- Familiar with local codes and international codes (related to soft services and waste management).
- Good knowledge for sustainability needs and development.
- Familiar with tendering process including technical and financial data collection, evaluation until finally awarding
- Good knowledge of sustainability needs and development.
- Proficient in using computers & Microsoft office.
- Proficient in using data analysis software is preferable.
- Excellent communication skills.
