About The Role

This is a truly exciting time to be part of GEMS Wellington School – Qatar (WSQ). Due to the continued success and ambitious nature of the school, we are delighted to be looking for a passionate, hardworking and talented teacher of Design Technology to support the school in its next stage of development.

This opportunity is ideally suited to someone with the skills, passion and creativity to contribute to an inclusive, yet high-performing Design Technology department across the secondary school. Working closely with our creative, digital and technology specialists, the successful candidate will have a high level of autonomy to ensure Design Technology further develops a significant presence within our school community. At WSQ, we fully believe in the importance of providing a broad, varied and engaging educational experience that enriches the lives of all our students. Design Technology, along with other creative subjects, plays a significant role in this vision.

We are therefore seeking an inspirational teacher to join our current team of dedicated specialists providing a world-class education. Candidates should have a real passion for Design Technology with a proven track record of outstanding practice. They must possess a commitment to helping our students achieve their maximum potential and it is essential to have experience teaching DT at A-Level.

We are hoping for the successful candidate to start in January 2024.

Qualifications and Experience – The successful candidate will ideally have a minimum of 2 years teaching experience. They will also have an appropriate teaching degree and Qualified Teacher Status.
